$98M+ Stolen in Four Days as Crypto Ecosystem Faces Back-to-Back Hacks

A wave of security breaches has hit multiple crypto platforms within just four days, drawing attention across the sector.

The first incident was recorded on May 15, when THORChain was exploited, resulting in losses of more than $10 million in digital assets.


Shortly after, on May 18, the Verus–Ethereum Bridge suffered a similar breach, with attackers stealing approximately $11.5 million.


The latest incident occurred today, when the Echo Protocol was exploited. In this attack, the hacker minted 1,000 eBTC, valued at $76.64 million, and then used it to drain 385 ETH, worth about $821,000.
