Bank of England Calls for International Stablecoin Standards

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said global regulators will need to work closely with the United States on creating international rules for stablecoins, which are largely backed by the US dollar.

Speaking at a conference, Bailey said stablecoins can only become a reliable part of the global payments system if countries agree on common international standards.
