Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said the cryptocurrency industry's expanding adoption would make it difficult to reverse its progress, even if a future U.S. administration were to take a less favorable stance toward digital assets.
Speaking in an interview with CoinDesk, Zhao said he could not predict whether he might face another subpoena under a future U.S. administration. He added that he had not expected the next Trump administration to adopt a more supportive approach toward the crypto sector.
Zhao said the industry's growing participation from U.S. investors and publicly listed companies has strengthened its position, making a major policy reversal increasingly difficult. Comparing crypto to artificial intelligence and the internet, he said technologies that achieve widespread adoption cannot simply be erased.
