Bitcoin has recorded just four negative calendar years in its history, with none of those losses occurring in back-to-back years, according to long-time Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff.
He noted that the most recent losing year showed only a modest 6% decline. In contrast, the other three years that ended in losses saw much steeper drops, averaging around 65%.
This year, Bitcoin is already down roughly 30%. Schiff added that if the market follows the same pattern as previous major downturns, the price could potentially finish the year near $30,000.
