Bitcoin Momentarily Seen at 2 Cents in Revolut App Technical Glitch

Users of the Revolut app reported a brief display glitch on Friday that caused Bitcoin prices to appear to plunge sharply to around $39,900. In some instances, the error was even more extreme, with notifications suggesting BTC had hit a 52-week low of just 2 cents.

The anomaly wasn’t limited to Bitcoin. Other cryptocurrencies shown in the app—including XRP, Solana (SOL), and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT—also displayed similarly distorted price readings.

The issue was short-lived and quickly resolved. External market trackers such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap showed no corresponding price movements, indicating the disruption was likely a localized display error within the Revolut app rather than a reflection of actual market activity.
