BitMine Positioned for Potential Inclusion in Russell 1000 Index

BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee said on X that FTSE Russell has released its preliminary additions and removals list, placing BitMine on the tentative inclusion roster for the large-cap Russell 1000.

The company’s market value is reported to be above the $5.7 billion threshold for large-cap consideration and falls within the eligibility range currently under review for index inclusion.

In the same update, Lee added that many active fund managers typically limit investments to Russell 1000 constituents, while passive index funds and ETFs are estimated to hold around 20% to 25% of a stock’s market capitalization.
