Bittensor Co-Founder Says Full Protocol Decentralization Targeted in 18 Months

Bittensor co-founder Jacob Robert Steeves has said that the network has not yet achieved full decentralization, with a small core team still overseeing development to help accelerate progress in AI-focused innovation.

He added that although ownership and the wider ecosystem are already decentralized, the protocol itself has not yet reached full autonomy and immutability. According to Steeves, this final stage of decentralization is still underway and is expected to be completed within the next 18 months.
