BNB Chain to Launch New Layer 1 Blockchain for Agentic Trading, Eyes Early 2027 Mainnet

According to official information, BNB Chain is developing a Layer 1 network for agentic trading. The project is expected to enter the testnet phase in late 2026 ahead of a planned mainnet release in early 2027.

The new network will operate alongside the existing BNB Chain ecosystem and is intended to improve trading performance by offering sub-50-millisecond transaction preconfirmation, more than 100,000 transactions per second, and sub-one-second finality. Additionally, it will eliminate the public mempool to help mitigate front-running and sandwich attacks.

Explaining the project's objective, BNB Chain Chief Technology Officer David Z said the new network aims to provide a CEX-like execution experience while preserving on-chain transparency and self-custody.
