Citi Sees $5.5 Trillion Valuation for Tokenized Real-World Assets by 2030

Citi has released its Tokenization 2030: Wall Street On-Chain report, outlining strong long-term growth prospects for tokenized real-world assets.

The report projects that the market could expand from roughly $17 billion today to as much as $5.5 trillion by 2030, while broader estimates range from $2.7 trillion to $8.2 trillion, depending on the pace of adoption.

Extending this outlook to broader financial markets, Citi expects notable shifts by 2030. It forecasts that about 10% of U.S. Treasury bills and 3% of U.S. public equities could be tokenized. In addition, rising stablecoin usage may drive approximately $1 trillion in additional demand for U.S. Treasuries. Meanwhile, a 10% migration of retail investors to digital trading platforms could generate approximately $2.6 trillion in demand for tokenized stocks.
