Coinbase CEO Addresses Allegations of Promoting Betting and Crypto Prediction Tools in App

Zcash founder Zooko has raised concerns about Coinbase, accusing the platform of showing sports betting and Bitcoin price prediction features to a young user described as financially vulnerable.

Responding to concerns, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that adults should have full autonomy over how they choose to use their money. However, he cautioned that high-risk financial products should not be heavily marketed to inexperienced investors.

He added that there is an important distinction between making such products available and featuring them prominently within the app.
