Coinbase, a U.S.-listed cryptocurrency exchange, has obtained a MiCA license from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, CSSF, marking a major milestone in its expansion across Europe. Alongside the approval, the company has designated Luxembourg as its central hub for operations across the region.
With the new license in place, Coinbase can offer cryptocurrency products and services throughout all 27 European Union member states under a single regulatory framework. This gives the exchange access to a market of approximately 450 million people across the EU.
