Crypto Exchange Bullish Seals $4.2 Billion Deal to Acquire Equiniti in Tokenization Drive

Crypto exchange operator Bullish has agreed to acquire global transfer agent Equiniti in a deal valued at approximately $4.2 billion, including debt, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Following the acquisition, the companies plan to introduce end-to-end tokenization services for corporate issuers. These offerings are expected to include round-the-clock securities trading, as well as payment and settlement systems powered by stablecoins. Equiniti currently provides services to nearly 3,000 public companies, among them Berkshire Hathaway and Moody’s.

The transaction is expected to close in January 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
