Crypto journalist Joe Nakamoto has warned Bitcoin holders to avoid publicly discussing their crypto wealth or displaying it on social media and in public settings, noting that such exposure can increase the risk of physical attacks. He also stressed that these threats are not limited to France and appear to be emerging more widely.
Building on this concern, he suggested that such incidents underscore the real-world value people place on Bitcoin, indirectly addressing remarks from ECB President Christine Lagarde, who has previously said crypto assets have “no intrinsic value.”
Even so, Nakamoto urged crypto users not to operate in fear. Instead, he recommended strengthening personal security measures, organizing protective strategies, and limiting unnecessary public exposure.
