Crédit Agricole Unit CACEIS in Exclusive Talks to Acquire Crypto Firm Meria

CACEIS, which manages custody and asset servicing for Crédit Agricole—France’s second-largest banking group—is said to be exploring a potential acquisition of Meria, a French company specializing in cryptocurrency investment products, according to BlockStories.

The discussions are reportedly exclusive at this stage. If the transaction advances, it will represent another step in CACEIS’s gradual expansion into digital asset-related services.

Meria, which previously operated under the name Just Mining, is registered as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the European Union’s MiCA regulatory framework. The platform supports roughly 150,000 clients, oversees about €350 million in assets under management, and provides services focused on crypto trading and staking.

The company was established by French crypto entrepreneur Owen Simonin, widely known as Hasheur.
