EIP-8182 Moves Into Hegotá Hard Fork Review, Bringing Native Privacy Transfers to Ethereum

Ethereum developer Tom Lehman posted on X that EIP-8182 has been officially moved into Proposed for Inclusion (PFI) status for the upcoming Hegotá hard fork.

The proposal introduces optional private transfer capability built directly into Ethereum’s Layer 1 protocol, designed to operate without protocol-level fees.

It has now moved into the core developer review phase, where it will be evaluated for potential inclusion in the final hard fork schedule.
