Ethereum Project Loopring Closes Its Decentralized Exchange

Loopring has officially shut down its decentralized exchange, with both the Loopring DEX and its relayer taken offline immediately.

The decision follows a series of challenges faced by the project, an early pioneer of zkRollup scaling on Ethereum, including its non-EVM architecture, limited user adoption, weak business expansion, and major LRC token delistings in 2026.

Meanwhile, the team said users will still be able to recover their remaining assets. Final balances will be published, and at least $10 will be sent to each eligible Ethereum L1 address, with all gas fees covered by the project during distribution.
