Four Ethereum Whales Sell 33,000 ETH After 8 Years of Inactivity

Four early Ethereum wallets—0x71BB, 0x92a8, 0x6C74, and 0xffd7—have suddenly become active again after eight years of inactivity, moving and selling a large portion of their original holdings of 37,602 ETH, worth about $58.66 million at the time they were first received.

These wallets initially accumulated ETH at an average price of about $830 per coin, leaving the assets untouched through multiple market cycles, including the 2021 and 2025 bull runs, when unrealized gains at one point surpassed $150 million.

However, after years of dormancy, the holders have now begun distributing their assets. Over the past four hours, they have sold 33,623 ETH, valued at approximately $52.46 million, at an average price close to $1,560.

Following these transactions, their remaining profit is estimated at around $27.4 million, while Ethereum (ETH) has declined 37.7% over the past year and is currently trading near $1,548.
