Digital asset firm Galaxy and Sharplink, a platform focused on Ethereum treasury management, are partnering to launch a private investment fund designed to generate yield from Ethereum through decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies.
The new Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund will go live in the coming weeks with $125 million in committed capital. The majority of the initial funding—$100 million—will come from Sharplink in the form of staked Ethereum holdings.
Galaxy will contribute an additional $25 million and serve as the fund’s manager, responsible for overseeing investment strategy and day-to-day operations.
Once operational, the fund will deploy capital across DeFi liquidity protocols and other on-chain yield opportunities. The structure aims to enhance returns while maintaining Sharplink’s long-term exposure to Ethereum.
