Hyperliquid (HYPE) Tops Token Buybacks With $283M, Outpacing Peers as Supply Falls Since January 2026

Eight cryptocurrency projects have recorded token buyback activity that has exceeded increases in circulating supply since January 2026, according to data from Tokenomist.

The tokens involved are Meteora (MET), GMX, PUMP, RLB, Hyperliquid (HYPE), MPLX, LIT, and AAVE.

Among the group, Meteora (MET) posted the strongest relative effect on supply dynamics, with circulating supply increasing 13% while buybacks reached 71% of its January baseline supply.

In terms of scale, Hyperliquid (HYPE) led in dollar buyback value at $283 million, representing roughly 3% of its supply. During the same period, its circulating supply declined by 11%.
