
JPMorgan Chase sharply increased its investments in Bitcoin-related ETFs during the first quarter of 2026, according to a new regulatory filing. The bank’s largest increase was in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, where its holdings jumped 174% to 8.3 million shares.
The expansion extended beyond IBIT, with the bank also boosting its positions in other Bitcoin-focused funds. Holdings in the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) rose 450%, while its stake in the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) surged 900% during the quarter.
At the same time, JPMorgan Chase recorded its biggest percentage increase in the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO), which tracks Bitcoin futures, with holdings climbing more than 3,000% in Q1 2026.
