Kraken and Coinbase User Loses $6.7M in Suspected Physical Attack, Analyst Says

On-chain analyst Specter reports that a user with accounts on both Kraken and Coinbase has lost approximately $6.7 million, with evidence suggesting the incident may have involved a physical attack.

The breach spanned both platforms, with significant withdrawals recorded across each account. From Kraken, 1,554 ETH, worth about $3.3 million, and 10.5 BTC were removed, while Coinbase saw the transfer of 34.1 cbBTC valued at roughly $2.6 million.

After the initial theft, the stolen funds were further moved and obscured. Specter notes that approximately $5.3 million in assets was ultimately funneled into Tornado Cash.
