Metaplanet Buys 2,823 Bitcoin in Q2, Holdings Reach 43,000 BTC

Japan-based Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet increased its Bitcoin holdings to 43,000 BTC as of June 30 after acquiring an additional 2,823 BTC during the second quarter of 2026, the company said.

The latest purchase cost approximately JPY 35.89 billion (about $221 million) and raised the company's total holdings from 40,177 BTC at the end of the first quarter.

Metaplanet's average acquisition cost across its entire Bitcoin portfolio now stands at roughly JPY 15.33 million per BTC.
