Multicoin Co-founder Kyle Samani says Web3 Is Dead as Crypto Focus Shifts to DeFi and DePIN

Forward Industries Chairman and Multicoin co-founder Kyle Samani said that “Web3 is dead,” arguing that decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) now represent the core active segments of the crypto ecosystem.

Meanwhile, StarkWare CEO and co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson noted that the crypto industry is undergoing an identity shift, with early long-time participants leaving the space while traditional financial institutions are increasingly entering it — a change he said is reshaping the sector’s original narrative.
