New York Magazine reports that Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX who is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence, has been discussing a potential return to the crypto industry after his release.
In conversations with a fellow inmate, he reportedly estimated that restarting a business would require about $50 million to $100 million in starting capital. He also allegedly raised the possibility of creating a new cryptocurrency token as part of his post-prison plans, suggesting it could draw strong interest.
The report further notes that Bankman-Fried is 34 years old and continues to develop and share business ideas while incarcerated.
