Poland Adopts EU MiCA-Aligned Crypto Framework in Parliament Vote

Poland’s parliament has passed a government-supported bill designed to bring national crypto rules in line with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, following two previous vetoes from the president.

The measure was adopted on Friday at the 57th sitting of the Sejm in Warsaw, securing a 241–200 vote, according to official records.

Prepared with backing from the Ministry of Finance, the law strengthens the role of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), granting it authority to supervise crypto market participants, issue fines, and temporarily freeze accounts and transactions. It is the third effort to secure approval after earlier vetoes by President Karol Nawrocki.
