A white-hat hacker returned approximately $190,000 after exploiting a vulnerability in Renegade.fi’s decentralized dark pool on Arbitrum.
The exploit, first identified by security firm Blockaid, resulted in an estimated $209,000 in losses. The attacker leveraged malicious code in a faulty function to drain 27 different ERC-20 tokens from the protocol.
Following an on-chain request from the Renegade.fi team, the hacker agreed to return roughly 90% of the stolen assets.
Data from Arbiscan shows the repayment to an Arbitrum wallet included $84,370 in USDC, $27,885 in wrapped Bitcoin, and $23,950 in wrapped Ethereum.
