Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Sees Progress on Key CLARITY Act Issues Ahead of Markup

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said negotiators expect to settle three main sticking points in the CLARITY Act—consumer protections, safeguards against illicit and terrorism financing, and ethics rules for government officials—before the bill advances to markup.

She added that, if progress holds, the legislation could potentially be completed by August.
