Solv Protocol, a platform built to integrate Bitcoin into decentralized finance, is shifting its cross-chain infrastructure from LayerZero to Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), according to a May 7 announcement following an evaluation of interoperability security frameworks.
The upgrade aims to enhance protection for over $700 million worth of wrapped Bitcoin tokens, including SolvBTC and xSolvBTC. After the migration is finalized, Chainlink CCIP will become the primary interoperability layer for Solv across all supported blockchain networks.
