Stablecoins and Tokenization Gain Edge Over Bitcoin Among Wall Street Advisors: Bitwise

Bitwise investment chief Matt Hougan says discussions with more than 40 financial advisors show a clear shift in focus within the crypto sector. While interest in digital assets remains steady, he noted that attention is now increasingly directed toward stablecoins and tokenization rather than Bitcoin.

He explained that conversations are less focused on Bitcoin and more on practical applications of blockchain technology, particularly in areas such as global payments and capital markets. This change reflects growing curiosity about how crypto can be used in real-world financial systems.

Adding to this trend, Hougan pointed out that major financial figures, including SEC Chair Paul Atkins, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, are also highlighting these emerging technologies, reinforcing investor interest.

He suggested that continued momentum in the crypto market may depend on new institutional participation, with capital likely flowing into stablecoin and tokenization-related opportunities.
