Tether Increases Intellectual Property Filings in the South Korean Market

Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, has filed seven new trademark applications in South Korea. The filings include the company’s name “Tether,” its official logo, and the gold-backed stablecoin XAUT.

Unlike earlier submissions in the country, which were primarily limited to individual stablecoin product names, this new round takes a broader approach. It now extends to core brand elements and key digital asset offerings, indicating a wider scope of trademark activity in the market.
