
At Paris Blockchain Week 2026, BitMine Chairman Tom Lee argued that since the start of the Middle East conflict, Ethereum has led major asset classes in performance, outpacing energy-related equities and returning roughly 20% more than the S&P 500.
He added that if markets remain steady and the U.S. economy continues to perform well despite rising oil prices, the crypto bull run could last through 2028. He also noted Ethereum is currently in a consolidation phase, with tokenization and agentic AI expected to drive the next growth cycle, including tokenized stocks, stablecoins, reputation systems, and AI-driven payments.
