US Banks Expect Gradual Then Rapid Shift Toward Digital Finance: Moody’s

According to a recent report from Moody’s Ratings, major U.S. banks and other financial market intermediaries expect the move toward a more digitized financial system to begin gradually, then build momentum and accelerate over time.

The report, released Tuesday, is based on discussions with banks and other market participants, most of whom described the transition as inevitable. It also notes a widely shared expectation that the change will follow a “slow then fast” pattern, with tokenization steadily expanding in volume before extending across a broader range of assets, market participants, and financial use cases.
