US Labor Groups Urge Rejection of Crypto Market Structure Bill Ahead of Senate Vote

Several major U.S. labor organizations—including SEIU, AFL-CIO, the National Education Association, the American Federation of Teachers, and AFSCME—are calling on U.S. senators to reject a proposed crypto market structure bill ahead of a committee vote scheduled for Thursday.

The unions argue that the legislation could increase exposure of retirement and pension funds to crypto market volatility, raising broader concerns about financial stability and risk for workers’ long-term savings.
