White House Pushes Congress to Pass Digital Asset Market Clarity Act Before July 4

Patrick Witt, the White House adviser on digital assets, said the administration is pushing for Congress to approve the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act before July 4. According to Witt, the Senate Banking Committee is likely to advance the legislation later this month, and most of the disputes surrounding stablecoin yield regulations have already been resolved.

He also noted that new details regarding the proposed U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve are expected within the next few weeks. Witt explained that federal agencies are currently reviewing their crypto holdings, consolidating oversight, and strengthening custody practices as part of an executive order issued by Donald Trump.
