World Liberty Financial Files Defamation Suit Against TRON Founder Justin Sun

World Liberty Financial, a crypto project linked to the Trump family, has filed a defamation lawsuit in Florida against TRON founder Justin Sun. The suit alleges Sun engaged in a “short-and-distort” scheme—betting against the WLFI token while publicly promoting it to influence the market.

According to the complaint, Sun also violated investment agreements by making unauthorized token transfers. WLFI further claims that after his assets were frozen, Sun responded with coordinated public criticism of the project.

The legal action follows an earlier lawsuit filed by Sun, in which he accused WLFI of fraud and coercion related to the same asset freeze and token transactions.
