XRP Holders See Lowest Average Returns on Record, Santiment Says

XRP investors are enduring the weakest average trading returns in the cryptocurrency's nearly 12-year history, according to crypto analytics platform Santiment, as both short-term and long-term holders remain deeply underwater.

Santiment said XRP's 30-day Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio has dropped to -45%, while its 365-day MVRV stands at -47%, marking the lowest combined average returns ever recorded across the two timeframes for the asset.

The firm said the data reflects extreme market pessimism among XRP holders. However, it cautioned that the token could still decline further if the broader cryptocurrency market continues to weaken.

Even so, Santiment said the current on-chain metrics suggest XRP now offers a more favorable risk-reward profile than usual, as much of the downside has already been absorbed by existing investors.
